1. What is a lash lift?
A lash lift is a non-invasive procedure that gently lifts the lashes to create a feminine curve that opens the eye. What makes the ‘Yumi 2.0’ lash lift different to other lifts is that it is the only product that has been dermatologically tested and is safe to make contact with the eyelid.
2. What are the benefits of getting a lash lift?
A lash lift can be a natural alternative to lash extensions. Unlike lash extensions, if done correctly, lash lifts do not damage your natural lashes. The Yumi 2.0 lash lift also acts as a treatment for your lashes as it contains keratin proteins and panthenol.
3. How long does a lash lift last?
It all depends on how quickly your natural lashes grow; we actually lose around 1-5 lashes per daily. Each lash lift should last between 6-8 weeks, this is the time it takes for a full fresh set of lashes to grow back. Some people can get a full 12 weeks out of one lash lift as their lashes grow slowly, but this is not common.
4. How much does it cost per session?
Prices can range depending on the quality of the lift and products used. For a Yumi lash lift, you should expect to pay around $80-$150 as it is a higher quality product. At Vanity Lash Artistry we charge $90 per lash lift and tint but offer $20 off your first lift.
5. Can you still wear makeup with a lash lift?
Yes! The great thing about getting a lash lift is that you can still wear makeup even after your lashes have been lifted, yes that includes mascara! Although many clients inform me they no longer need mascara as the lift and tint are enough on their own.
6. How long does the process of getting a lash lift go for?The process of getting a lash lift differs between each brand. Here at Vanity Lash Artistry, it takes up to 1.5 hours to lift the lashes using Yumi 2.0 products.
7. Have you gotten a lash lift before?
Of course! Definitely the best decision I have made beauty-wise. I have actually lifted my own lashes which was… well, interesting!!8. Is there anything you need to avoid doing after getting a lash lift?
Yes, each client must wait 48 hours after getting a lash lift before applying any water, cream or makeup around the eye area. This is so the solution can truly set and give you a lasting lift.9. What should you expect when getting a lash lift?
When getting a quality lash lift you should expect your lashes to be curved and upright similarly to when you use an eyelash curler. Each lash lift at Vanity Lash Artistry also comes with a complimentary tint so your lashes will also be dark enough for you to not have to wear mascara.
