Gossip Girl Reboot: Julien Calloway - Recreate The New Upper East Siders Makeup Looks

To celebrate the release of the Gossip Girl Reboot, Miss Makeup will be breaking down some of the best makeup looks and products from the first set of episodes. We’ve got all the beauty secrets of your new favourite Upper East Siders Julien Calloway, Zoya Lott, Luna La and Audrey Hope. Julien Calloway

Julien is the Upper East Sider with the most 'influence' so it makes sense her makeup looks are always on point with the latest trends. The shows makeup artist Amy Tagliamonti chose a colour palette of bold hues mixed with shimmery metallics for Julien's makeup looks. There is even an easter egg for OG Gossip Girl fans because Tagliamonti adds an extra inner corner highlight as a nod to Serena Van Der Woodsen's makeup looks.

The first step for any Julien Calloway makeup look is a strong base. The Make Up Forever HD Foundation and Concealer when applied together are long-lasting and great for being in front of the camera. Tagliamonti likes to set the base products with a Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation Powder to reduce shine and keep the product in place (especially when wearing masks)

To add some warmth around the outer edges of the face, Julien wears the Fenty Beauty Sun Stalkr Bronzer in 'Bajan Gal'. A great drugstore alternative is the Maybelline New York City Bronzer for $12 AUD.

The shimmer shades in Julien's makeup bag are the KVD Vegan Dazzle Stick in 'Thundercloud'. To achieve the same look, apply a cream shimmer shadow using the fingertip across the whole eyelid. If you want a more subtle shimmer you can apply a dry shimmer eyeshadow to the centre of the eyelid or inner corner.

One of Julien's most notable makeup looks so far has been her first appearance at Dumbo Hall. The stunning deep red lip is the perfect shade to compliment both Julien's skin tone and her eyeshadow look. Amy Tagliamonti revealed that the lip look was made with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Stain in 'Black Cherry'. This product has a unique formula that settles into the lips so it's best to use over a lip liner or lipstick for a bolder look.
