Rare Beauty Liquid Blush: Is It Worth The Hype?

The Soft Pinch Liquid Blush by Rare Beauty has been named one of the best liquid blushes by Marie Claire, Allure and Glamour, but is it worth the hype? One of the brand's best-selling products, this liquid blush has been flying off shelves and already has dupes from E.L.F and MCoBeauty! Keep reading this article to learn more about why you should try the Rare Beauty favourite!

An Extensive Shade Range

The Rare Beauty liquid blush comes in 13 shades ranging from terracotta, hot pink, and even purple! 9 of the shades are dewy and the other 4 are matte.

Here are some of their best shades:

  • For a bright red, try Grateful

  • For a hot pink, try Lucky or Happy

  • For a peachy shade, try Bliss or Hope

  • For a purple, try Grace or Faith

  • For something more neutral, try Encourage (lighter skin tones) or Joy (darker skin tones)

You Only Need 1-2 Dots Per Cheek

A little goes a looong way when it comes to this blush! It can take some practice to learn how much product you need to use and depending on the amount you use, you can achieve a light flush of colour or a dramatically bold look. The best way to apply this product is to transfer a bit of the product onto your fingertip or a sponge rather than applying it directly from the applicator. A cute fun fact: there is a small heart shape on the applicator!

Creamy Rather Than Liquid Formula

Despite being called a liquid blush, the formula is actually more of a thicker cream. This is great because you have more control over the product when applying as it won't drip easily. Make sure to blend it in quickly once dabbing the blush onto your cheeks as the formula will dry down.

If liquid blush isn't for you, Rare Beauty also has the Stay Vulnerable Melting Blush and Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush which is a combination of their blush and highlighter!
